Full disclosure: I don't shop here regularly, but pop in occasionally when in town, need to pick something up and don't have a few extra minutes to drive a little further down to Publix. That being said, I've popped in several times and have found the store consistently wanting.
The overall appearance for the store - inside and out - is messy. Outside, the store frequently has litter and debris along the sidewalk and the carts are left to roam freely in the parking lot. Once you enter, it's not much better. Throughout all the departments, there's a general lack of tidiness: items are slung haphazardly onto shelves and often in the wrong department. Granted, lazy shoppers are responsible for these forlorn grocery items, but the store employees should be on the lookout and return the homeless groceries to their proper homes .
One of the least attractive areas is the area directly in front of the checkouts...apparently, it's the place where returns, closeouts and other random items are stacked (yep, stacked) until someone decides to deal with them. One this last visit, pretty much the entire wall was full of..stuff. Boxes of stuff. Bins of stuff. While I understand that there's got to be a place to stack things temporarily, right in front of checkout where EVERY shopper will see it probably isn't the best location. It's a good idea to find a less public spot to house these random items until they're dealt with.
Service is meh. No offers to assist in finding anything and not even a greeting when checking out. read more
