I've been going to La Foret for the last 15 years. This year my husband and I went for our 5 year anniversary. I hadn't been there since it reopened. I was interested to see how the restaurant, its food and the atmosphere compared to when it was under the original owner/chef. I have to say, it was just as good! Food was delicious, service was amazing and the ambience was just as elegant as I remembered. This is what we had. We started with the scallops and tuna for our appetizers. The scallops were so succulent and had an amazing saffron cream sauce and the tuna melted in our mouths with a horseradish and thyme sauce. Then we moved on to tortellini, in lieu of a salad. The aged garlic cream sauce, which had porcini mushrooms and sun-dried tomatoes, was simply perfect! For the main course I had the veal chop and my husband had the rack of lamb. It's hard to put into words how amazing these two meals were. I have never had a veal chop like the one at La Foret. It was cooked to perfection, so tender and the flavors were out of this world. The rack of lamb was amazing as well. Super tender with an amazing sauce. And of course we finished with a Grand Marnier souffle. This is my must have when coming to this restaurant and it did not disappoint! Overall, our experience was top-notch and we will definitely be going back! Additional thanks to our food server, Alan, who made the night even more special! read more
