Downtown Springfield lost several good restaurants during the pandemic. La Piazza is among the survivors... FOR VERY GOOD REASONS: It's within walking distance of The Abraham Lincoln Presidential Library and Museum, and just around the corner from the old Illinois Statehouse. The menu is extensive and prices are quite reasonable. In addition to indoor seating, La Piazza offers outdoor seating in very pleasant surroundings. The staff is friendly and attentive. Service is fast. Today was our first visit. We ordered a pizza and sat outdoors. Our meal was served in no time at all, and boy oh boy, OUR PIZZA WAS TASTY! Give La Piazza a try.
