When I was feeling overworked, I decided to take a spontaneous mini vacation out to Deep Creek. I got online and looked for rooms on the lake that I could afford and had rooms available the very next day (it was cold and rainy, so that probably helped me find rooms). I wanted somewhere cozy where I could read a book, enjoy a view of the lake, and be near good food options. When I saw the fireplaces in the single bed rooms at LakeFront Lodge, I was hooked! The room was almost perfect, the only detractor for me is that the couch/seat in the room is not at all comfy for lounging, that's what I wanted to do for a few days. But the bed was very comfy, the bar height table out on the balcony was a lovely perk, the room was clean, the view of the lake was nice, and I got to enjoy reading a book by a fireplace (I adore fireplaces). I loved it. I watched a few people renting kayaks and boats (I'll have to try that myself next time), and I saw how much the staff cared for the guests and the property.
