Lakeview Plumbing was yet again contracted by my landlord to repair a major leak in a pipe directly beneath the kitchen sink. The two workers arrived, I pointed them to the crawlspace access point and they brought a very large black tarp/bag filled with sand (I found this out later) into the crawlspace along with their tools. The videos of the leak, as you can see, was quite major. This was happening for a while, as you can see from the large (possibly) type/grade III (3) black water that was sitting in the crawlspace under my home for an undetermined amount of time. The workers took a few hours to complete their work. The work included spreading sand directly into/on top of the presumably contaminated soil and water. I presume this due to the kitchen sink water, in which I have personally rinsed dirty dishes, raw meats and vegetables and washed dirty hands in. They patched the pipe and left their black tarp/bag in the crawlspace. Another company came by to inspect the crawlspace further and uploaded photos to the landlord's maintenance app showing the Lakeview Plumbing employees left 2 brightly colored cloths, the large black tarp/bag and a lot of sand behind. I called their number on this Yelp page, spoke to a man who told me other employees would come by to pick up the tarp the following day. A woman called me the same day from the company and told me two employees would come by the same day and pick up the things they left behind. The two employees arrived between 5 and 6pm that day. One of the employees was on the phone with the maintenance supervisor for the landlord company. The maintenance supervisor told the employees to buy and spread "lime" in the crawlspace. I know this because the Lakeview Employee told me he spoke to the supervisor and the supervisor told him to go to Home Depot to buy lime "to take care of the smell." They came back 1 to 2 hours later and accessed the crawlspace and presumably removed the things their co-workers left behind and to spread the lime. read more
