What a find!! I'm VERY impressed with my experience at LATHER! I tend to be extremely skeptical of all skin care products- so much so that I haven't changed my skin care regimen since I was a teenager and I never wear makeup after numerous bad experiences with rashes and allergic reactions etc. So I was pretty nervous when my lovely Yelp buddy @SamB invited me to be a guest at her Pamper Party - but I'm SO glad I went!! Their "Pamper Party" service is for you and 5-6 friends and they do a skin care assessment and your group gets to do facials and face masks and you'll get personalized skin care recommendations from the LATHER pros - all while champagne flows and you snack on fruit and vegan cookies. We had A BLAST! Our hosts were Lauren (manager) and Jacqueline (total skin care PRO!!) and they were just awesome!! Fantastic energy - so bubbly, friendly, and fun!! They really made our evening so special....I can't say enough wonderful things about them. During the pamper party, they do a drawing for a prize. The prize for our party was their "summer soother" soap package that includes 4 bars of soap in various lavender scent combinations that smell amazing - and I won!! I never win anything so that just made my night haha! I walked away with several bottles of various skin care products - like toner, vitamin c serum, several cleaners and face masks - my first whole new skin care routine since I was a teenager! I've only been using my new routine for a few days and already see a HUGE difference in my face - it looks more radiant and all my blemishes are just gone - I'm blown away! We also got to hear all about the owner and her motivations for starting the business back in 1999 and her philosophies - all fantastic. I love that they don't use artificial perfumes and things like that. They're located in a lovely spot right in the heart of Old Town Pasadena. Parking is street parking or in one of the many public garages nearby. I parked in the De Lacey street garage which is super close and a good price. I'll definitely be back - highly recommend letting them personalize a routine for you - if I love it, I'm sure you will too - give it a try!! read more
