Here's an update on how Legacy Cleaning is treating its customers in 2025. Large commercial customer here, hired them with all these promises of how clean is was going to be, how they wipe down and dust everything, black light inspection, etc. This was in a written contract including a map of which rooms were going to be cleaned weekly.
The problems started right away, we kept finding gross, uncleaned areas that had clearly not been cleaned for a long time. When I complained, the owner (Valerie Mercado) told me that we would have to pay more than double for her to "actually" clean the place.
So we agreed...and it was better...but then she did other things like leaving our alarm system disarmed one night, then leaving our keybox standing wide open all night. Valerie had the nerve to deny it, but we knew for sure it was her due to the electronic log and camera footage. We are in a high crime area with valuable products inside. So I told her we needed to cancel the contract at the end of the month, that it wasn't working out.
Couple weeks later, Valerie got revenge. She took a leaf blower to our entire office building, and just COVERED every surface with dust bunnies, dirt and dog hair. On the video we saw Valerie kicking up actual clouds of dirt and dust bunnies floated by in the camera footage. It was incredible. My employees upon returning the next morning were horrified, using words like "disgusting" and "filthy" to describe the scene. They felt violated as their personal offices and possessions were completely nasty and required a lot cleaning before they could start work.
When I texted her the photos, including the one of her wielding the leaf blower, she told me it was supposed to be that way, that this is just "the way we clean" and then proceeded to call me "a complete b*tch." This was the OWNER, not a bad employee. So I guess, if you want to sign up to have your place be left dirtier than it started, have your building left unlocked all night with the alarm off, and then be cursed at when you object...give Valerie a call! read more
