This ice cream shoppe does not make its own ice cream, but it has many, many ice creams from Plainwell Ice Cream and Mooville. I might nit pick and suggest it swap out Mooville for Ashby's Ice Cream. But for many people Mooville has a certain elan, so I can understand.
They do all of the typical ice cream creations: Sundaes, flurries, malts, shakes. The shoppe does hot dogs and the like. There is no indoor seating. The staff use Styrofoam containers. Parking can get limited.
We have never had problems with service. Sure, if we sit in our car eating Hot Fudge Sundaes, like today, we can tell the young women seem at times too attached to their phones, and during pauses between customers they open the front glass door to peek out, craning their necks, with eyes focused on the horizon, as if they are awaiting for their jobless boyfriends driving their rusted out Ford F150s to pull up. Maybe they do seem distracted but, again, personally, we've had nothing but exemplary service from any of the young staff.
And the ice cream, whether in cones or in creations, is yummy. Prices are high but the competition is nonexistent. read more
