As the Duke of Longbridge Train Station (current Duke I should say) I should really do a review...so here goes....its a train station! Seriously though, the entrance has the usual ticket machine and a counter to speak to a real person! Theres two platforms, usually one to Redditch and the other to Lichfield Trent Valley via Bham New Street - consisting of 3 or 6 coaches. Ive heard those announcements too many times now! Its a well lit station, operated by London Midland so its green and black colours with an array of quite cool posters. Plenty of seats and its under cover too so no getting wet in the rain. They have a really big cycle park next door but no car park, so most people park on the road adjacent to the tracks - keep tucked in though and fold your mirrors in! As this is my local station its obviously the best, well... the best little local train station anyway! read more
