This place finally opened today. I been walking past it for months. Looks like it has a 2-floor structure. Seems like the kitchen is on the first floor with a few tables and more tables on the 2nd floor. The staff is going to get a good workout bringing dishes up and back down. I first ordered calf liver which was actually amazing. There are surprisingly very few places that make this dish very well. Many times, restaurants use smaller pieces that dry out. This was large, moist, and delicious. Will definitely come back for it. The only negative was the mix chicken/lamb gyro. The chicken was just on the tad dry side. The lamb was a bit more spice than i would have expected but i have a low tolerance for that kind of thing. I am sure most people would like it. Maybe a side of tzatziki or even cacik (no mint please) would have cooled some of the flavors. The meat came with some kind of basic salad but switching for a Shepherd salad was not available. Would gladly pay an upcharge to switch. I also ordered an americano with a chocolate cheesecake. The coffee was good, certainly much better than the other nearby Turkish options. The cheesecake was brought in but tasted very good and fresh. I look forward to coming back for more calf liver and maybe try a few other dishes. What looked like the owner also came by and asked how things were, very nice and gracious. read more
