Lu Dream Head Spa, located near Yonge and Wellesley, offers head spa treatments in a modern and relaxing space. Lu Dream actually has 5 locations all located throughout the GTA (in Unionville, Richmond Hill, Warden, and Mississauga) where this particular location is their only downtown location. The downtown location offers head spa treatments, full body massages, as well as guasha facials). For the month of July they had a promotion where from Mon to Thurs, the head spa treatment is only $68 (when using cash, if you use card to pay there is tax on top of the $68 where tip is not included). Regular price of the head spa treatment is $78. I decided to treat myself to a head spa treatment to take advantage of the July promo. I actually had to rebook my appointment several times throughout the month, however, this was quite easy as they use an online booking platform (Fresha). A day before my appointment I was reminded via text regarding the said appointment date/time. Staff also inquired if I was okay with a shared room (separated with a curtain). Since I went alone I was okay with a shared space. Day of my appointment, I arrived about 5 min earlier than the appointment time. There were benches to sit on while staff provided me with slippers to use. Staff will put your shoes away for you. My appointment didn't start right on time as staff apologized that they were fully booked back to back today. After about 5 min I was led to my shared room and asked to change (top only!), and settled down onto my bed after changing. There is a basket in the room for you to place your belongings. The lady who did my treatment was called Judy. During the 60 minute head spa treatment she gave me a thorough scalp massage, washed (both shampoo/conditioner) my hair thoroughly, as well as gave me another neck and shoulder massage. The experience was so relaxing and I almost fell asleep! Judy was great and she asked me how everything was at first. The neck and shoulder massage she gave was firm and she really worked on my shoulder/upper trap knots I had (was painful but it was great). After the treatment she took me to a common area where you walk past the front reception to try my hair. The spa uses Dyson hair dryers. The result of my 1 hr head spa treatment? Soft silky hair, a clean scalp, and a feeling of relaxation. This unfortunately is not claimable under insurance if you have benefits. I've done head spa treatments elsewhere before but Lu Dream Head Spa definitely is better than the rest.
