What a great find in Des Moines. Staying downtown for business, I decided to walk over to tip back a few pints. A great space with an open concept with a great patio in warmer weather. On this particular night, there was a band on the patio that added to the atmosphere. Beer wise, Lua hits it out of the park. I was particular fond of the kolsch as well as the hefeweizen. For food, I recommend the fried chicken sandwich. The highlight is the chipotle pimento spread. Perfectly fried nestled on a freshly baked bun, it was a great pairing with the beer. It was slammed the night I was there but the bartenders were hustling and great with recommendations. Definitely a great stop if you are in the area. read more
