I am writing this review to warn other pet owners about the predatory and heartless business practices I experienced here. I booked a free portrait session in September and paid a $200 refundable deposit which was supposed to be returned after the session. During the required follow up Zoom call to view the photos I was subjected to a high pressure sales pitch for portraits costing thousands of dollars. Despite explaining that I was on a tight budget the photographer kept me on the call for 15 minutes past our scheduled time trying to close a sale. Tragically my dog passed away a few days later during emergent surgery. I reached out to the photographer regarding the photos and instead of offering basic human sympathy he weaponized my grief. He knew I had just spent over $7,000 in veterinary bills trying to save my dog yet he pressured me to buy the expensive portraits explicitly stating that they mean more to me now that my dog is dead. To make matters worse he attempted to leverage a discount if I agreed to leave a 5 star review. I have explicitly asked for my deposit back 5 or 6 times now. This most recent attempt is what finally prompted me to write this review because instead of processing my refund he ignored the request and launched into yet another sales pitch. It has been since November 20 and I still have not received my $200 deposit back or the single 5x7 print I was promised. This business lacks ethics and compassion. read more
