OVERALL
Lucky Bamboo is a fast casual Chinese restaurant in Alamosa, CO. It was nice for a quick lunch with my cowboy.
RATING BREAKDOWN
Food: 4 | Service: 4 | Ambiance: 4 | Price: 4.5
PARKING
There was free street parking or a public lot just south of the building.
LOCATION/AMBIANCE
It's nicely decorated with a minimal approach and high ceilings. Two separate dining areas with tables and chairs that are just a bit closer than I would have liked. The women's restroom while clean did not have a working automatic soap dispenser. The sign outside is a bit small, but it's not a difficult place to find.
THE GRUB
+ Hot tea (a green variety) $2.50 - good flavor served in a small metal kettle with a small handless teacup.
+ Iced tea $3.75
+ Sweet & sour chicken lunch special $9.25 came with a pork egg roll, a cheese wonton, either fried or steamed rice and your choice of soup (egg flower, wonton, or hot & sour)
LITTLE YELPER'S CLUB
My kids weren't in tow this trip so I didn't worry about a kid's menu nor did I see one.
SERVICE
They don't greet you at the door. Instead they flag you down from a distance to seat you at a table and leave before you initially reach the table. Other than that we were constantly checked on by several staff members. By the end of our meal, the staff finally became more personable thanks to my cowboy's sense of humor.
MY FAVORITE PART...
How hot and quick everything came out!
NOT SO FAVORITE PART...
The door dinger every time someone walked in or out and the loud chattering of all the patrons minus no background music. read more
