I definitely get why my in-laws kept this little gem a secret...they didn't want to have to bring my kids!! I had no idea there was such an elegant, upscale dining option in Round Top. As I said, the atmosphere is definitely not kid-friendly; unless your kid is a well-behaved robot they'll disturb other diners revelling in the tranquility of the charm of old Italy reverberating through the walls. The decor is stunning, yet simple and sophisticated, and the wait staff were some of the best I've ever met. The menu offers the usual fare common at nicer italian places, with a few surprises. I ordered the Radiatore Cacio e Pepe. I'd been wanting to try cacio e pepe, but had never heard of radiatore, "radiator"-shaped pasta. It was an excellent dish, though I do wish I'd taken the server's suggestion to add meatballs, as I felt it really needed a protein to perfect it. The Lady Cello drink was superb, and my mother-in-laws' short rib was excellent as well, though not the best I've had. Tiramisu was good, and a nice sized portion. Overall, Lulu's offered dishes that were only a touch below my favorites in the big city. So glad I know about this quaint little gem tucked away in little old Round Top.
