It's a nicely paved shoreline lined up with restaurants, bars, lots of vendors selling you lots of souvenirs and the like, but most importantly... it is just a beautiful BEAUTIFUL area from one end all the way to the other and back. We explored many restaurants and bars during our three-day run on the Malecon. The one thing that I couldn't help but notice is how they keep the entire area clean! The beach included! Impressive! There's also a bike path for those who feel like doing that. There are bike rentals (as well as jet skis and banana boats) also conveniently located in here.
