The Malasadas were delicious. This is only my second time eating them. These were different than the ones we had in Oahu. Here they were slightly more crispy on the outside but the soft fluffy insides tasted the same.
I was hoping to pair my Malasada with a hot cup of Kona coffee but alas they dod not have any (not their fault, I guess since they are located in Hilo and not Kona).
My wife chose to pair hers with a an iced vanilla latte but she said unfortunately it was a swing and a miss.
One thing to note, when I read about this place on visitors guides and online nobody mentioned it was just a little food truck on a street corner in Hilo. I was looking for a local shoppe or a store front so we almost missed it. Hopefully the pictures I posted will help with that.
If I was in Hilo I would come here again but mainly for the Malasadas. read more
