This location was the former site of the maple Falls Elementary School which was demolished buy a controlled burn in May of 2013. Several individuals were inspired to form a non-profit group and create a community park here which would also serve the communities of Glacier and Kendall which neither have parks of Their Own. Every summer they're having a Bigfoot Festival to raise funds for continued development of the park. The festival is mostly arts and crafts vendors and a mini parade with Bigfoot costume contest.
