Those past terrible reviews are accurate of Marine Performance. In my experience the word SHYSTER comes to mind. Sold me an outdrive he claimed to have completely reconditioned, it wasn't, bad water pump, etc. his response "I looked in there!" He Replaced it with a second one with a broken Skegg that he said, "water pump, gear oil all of it" was done, which it wasn't, quickly over heated the engine just as the first, didn't even work for 5min. and now sits in my back yard with oil leaking out of it. After more than three trips of 150 miles one way. He strings you along, charges you ( I'm out 4K) with nothing to show for it. No numbers for any alleged parts, etc. I was treated terribly just as others on this site. I Recommend Caution. Please be careful. I am a life long Mechanic and suffered a shoulder injury. I came to him for help and got thrown under the Bus 3-times after 3-trips. When my shoulder healed, I reviewed his work and there was no evidence for what he charged, I documented everything. in addition I reviewed my receipt to see he added wrong and over charged me by $100.00. I have evidence, submitted paperwork to the courts, which he wouldn't sign for. After several 300 mile round trips to the courts and costs. He's not worth it. Buyer beware.
