This was our first time at Mel Olson Stadium. We learned that Mel Olson Stadium aka The Fryer is home to the DubSea Fish Sticks. The Fish Sticks are a summer collegiate baseball team who plays at Mel Olson Stadium located inside of King County's Steve Cox Memorial Park. The team prides itself on providing fun, affordable family entertainment. We came for a Dick's Drive In promotional night and left pretty impressed. This sports complex is very cool and is what a lot of our local communities could use. The baseball stadium is reminiscent of an old time minor league stadium that is very intimate. With open seating there isn't a bad seat in the house. The team running the promotions really did a great job and kept the crowd into it. We also bought some nachos and a Beecher's mac n cheese bowl and a souvenir soda cup from the concession stand and enjoyed the food. Overall, this is an affordable and fun Summer evening event with lots to see. The "home team" also won by a sizeable score so that helped! read more
