Menards is huge & diverse. They seem to have combined both a Home Depot & Lowes stores & mixed with a "general store"
en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/General_store
The selections of from hardware & garden area ranges from "value" to fancy with added odd ball almost on purpose. Folding chairs include a giant 6 cup holder one for the 9 foot tall. Wheel barrel selection includes a motor assist one (pic). In the bucket section I found a flexible rubber one (pic). [I bought the $13 bucket for when I "kick the bucket".]
The general store part is low selection, but has values. I found "wicking" shirts for very reasonable prices (pic). Prairie Farms is the only dairy provider competitive prices. There were no fresh veggies or fruit that I saw so they are not trying for a full grocery store.
Overall, I like what they are doing... BUT, I they are seem like a suburban
