It shouldn't be hard to get nachos WITH jalapenos. On their nacho menu there was only one selection that had them, and to add them was extra? In my mind they should be a staple on nachos.
I must admit, I like the decor of the "old" Mexi's a lot better than the new one. It was a little tacky, but hey, that was part of the charm. The roof-top patio is nice, just stay away from the washrooms, they are like an outhouse. The men's even had beer case boxes stacked next to the urinals. Ewww.
Our server was nice, but slow even though she only had 2 tables. She was more concerned with the table of drinking jocks than our not-so-drinky table. She did however twist our arm into getting a bucket of Coronas (4 beers). Something about cold beer on ice on a patio that makes me happy.
The meals were OK, nothing to brag about. My Nachos were fine, skimpy on the cheese but the chips were fresh. I've had better and worse, so they are just "meh". For the price I expected better.
I think they need to step up their game if they want to compete with other authentic Mexican establishments in town.
