Mindful Eats Grilled Fish, Jollof, and veggies. Before the disgusting uncleaned inside of the fish. The taste of the fish, jollof, and veggies were bland and lacked flavor but was a 6.5 out of 10... now before ordering I asked if fish was gutted before paying. The gentleman Lonnie stated that it was gutted. Although his service was nice, he did not verify. When speaking with the owner (Favor), I showed her the inside and asked was that seasoning to get a better understanding of what it was. She shrugged her shoulders and shook her head in confusion stating that she was told the fish was gutted. She then stated I don't know what to tell you.. I immediately felt ill and ran to the restroom to vomit! Upon returning, the guy Lonnie came back over with the owner- I showed him and his response was "what's that!? Oh I thought it was-" (he began digging the guts out of the fish slightly slide the tray back to me) the owner then cut him off stating "Well living things have babies so it's probably eggs"... such a rude statement to make. My immediate response was ma'am with all due respect I'm aware that living things make babies.. I'm a woman, I'm aware. She then offered the chicken..- as excited I was to try this place- I'm extremely disappointed with the owner's response and contemptuous behavior. The chicken was to the sweet homeless man on the corner. Would not recommend. read more
