Before heading to a Yelp Elite event nearby, I decided to pop into Miniso to kill some time and honestly, it was a pretty solid stop overall.
This location is a bit smaller than some of the other Miniso stores I've visited, but they still had a good variety of products, and it was fun browsing through everything and checking out how the store was laid out. I even came across some blind boxes I hadn't seen at other locations, which was a nice surprise. Of course I had to grab one especially since I finally got to use my 20% off birthday reward for the first time!
I'll admit, I was a little bummed because I had just missed out on their previous birthday freebie (a blind box up to $25!), but I still appreciated having a discount to use.
Checkout is where things felt a little off. After giving my phone number for rewards, I asked if I could use my birthday coupon. The cashier asked, "Which one?" which confused me since I thought there was only one available promo at the moment. She then asked to see the barcode, and while I pulled it up pretty quickly, she started helping another customer and asked me to step aside. I didn't mind doing that at all, but it did leave me standing there ready to go for a minute.
Once she saw I was set, she helped me at another register and finished the transaction without any issues.
Overall, I wouldn't say the service was bad just a little awkward in that moment. I'd definitely still come back, especially if I'm in the Pasadena area again. It's a great spot to browse, find cute items, and pick up something fun when you've got time to spare. read more
