I think I have a new favorite restaurant. Let's start with the ambiance, decor and vibe: awesome, clean, friendly, chill.
Made reservations for two at the bar on a Wednesday night. Did you know that you can get $1 oysters on Wednesday nights at the bar? No? Now you do. You're welcome.
Barstools are really comfortable and I would consider eating at the bar again instead of getting a regular table. Bartender was top notch and we got a chance to chat with the owner on the way out (we remember her from her former restaurant)...she's fab.
Oysters were awesome-we managed to slurp down 2 dozen. Bread and butter-that's right up my alley...carbs!! Homemade Texas toast style with delicious, slightly sweet butter. Brussels sprouts-fantastic! Pickle plate-very pretty and a nice, light snack in between heavier options. We each managed to eat a taco; I had the mushroom and loved it. Solid review on the pork taco.
Barely had room for dessert but the pavlova was light and just the right choice to end the night on. Forgot to mention the mocktails and lighter ABV beverages on the drink menu...each one was was better than the next. Plenty of regular cocktails, local beers and other adult beverages available.
This place is the bomb. I'm impressed by the farm to table focus and that every dish features local businesses. There are many vegan and vegetarian choices, gluten-free options and plenty of carnivore-friendly fare. Something for everyone.
