I had an amp installed here, and the installer ran the wiring through the firewall without sealing it properly. Now water gets into the cab and the driver side floor becomes soaked whenever it rains or I drive through water.
I was told by the dealership that the firewall penetration from the amp wiring is likely the source of the leak. That is not a minor issue, it can lead to mold, corrosion, damaged wiring, and expensive repairs inside the truck.
The rear cab also leaks. During the soundproofing installation, a rear cab plug was apparently removed or came loose, allowing water into the back of the truck. That leak has soaked and damaged my custom subwoofer box.
Based on my experience, the work appears to have been done with shortcuts and without proper sealing or protection. I would strongly recommend using another shop that does clean, professional installations and stands behind its work. read more
