Pontoon was re-fabbed with a used and damaged console, a used control panel with only 4 usable switches, secured with rusty screws. Panel was cracked under every one of those screws. The new boat furniture looked cheap (we ordered mid-range furniture, not low-end). Both bench seats in front of the console had large scrapes and scratches on them. They looked like he dragged them over the side of the boat and damaged them while doing it. Ladder was not placed where we asked. Multiple exposed edges of metal, on the ponton. And...a master switch in the engine compartment, where the wire connecting it to the battery (approx. 2' pc of wire) had an open splice in the middle of it. We had to lean over the back sundeck and reach around to access the master switch.
Poor workmanship, even after having possession of the pontoon for 11 months. He said he would fix what was wrong, but hasn't.
I don't recommend doing business with Rick or his small refab business. read more
