Decided to visit the new location of Monasaba twice. Once in June and once for their grand opening. My thoughts for both visit was that they were very slow in serving. The first experience when dining in, I found that it took a long time to get someone to the table, only to be told we need to scan for the menu and place our order online. OK but what about if someone doesn't have access or they're not tech savvy? Not really convenient IMO. Sure you can go order at the counter too, I guess. When dining in, we got a complimentary bowl of soup. It was good. Food took a long time to come and I found portion quite generous, enough to be shared. However, one of the things I noticed was that it was extremely oily which was a turn off for me. The rice was so oily and not that enjoyable though the lamb was tender. For the grand opening, we got the chicken mandi (forgot to take a pic), and I found the chicken a bit too dry for my liking. Again, the issue with the food being too oily arises again. I washed the container once after finishing the meal, but I had to rewash it again twice to ensure all oil was out. Not sure if I'll come back. read more
