We stopped for a late lunch, which they serve until 4 pm. We ordered deep fried pickles to share. I had the smoked peach salad with salmon. My friend had Fish and Chips.
The food arrived piping hot. The pickles were just okay. We found the breading to be too heavy and the dipping sauce was tasteless against the strong dill pickle taste.
The salad was a generous size but not exciting . It's peach season, but the salad had four slices of canned peaches on it. That was a disappointment . The salmon was nicely cooked ( skin on) and a good lunch size.
The fish and chips were reported to be very good. It was haddock, the breading was light and tasty. The chips were hot and crisp. Served with creamy coleslaw that also looked good.
There's not much to choose from in this area. The place always seems busy when I drive by. It's a cute old house, worth a try when you are in the area. read more
