This is not a bad spot for tapas in the suburbs, especially if you take advantage of their Groupon. On our most recent visit we were able to take advantage of their outdoor seating which on a beautiful day was so nice. The service here while good, and they always try hard, can be a bit discombobulated.
On our most recent visit we each ordered a cocktail (mojito and an Old Fashioned), and while they were good, they were also nothing great. For food we ordered Embutidos (meat & cheese plate), Queso de Cabra al Horno (goat cheese with a tomato basil sauce), Pulpitos a la Plancha (grilled octopus) Croquetas de Pollo (chicken and ham croquettes), and a pork special. Both cooked meats, the octopus and the pork, seemed overdone (or "hammered as my boyfriend would say) and were quite chewy. While overdone, they did have good flavor so it was unfortunate that they were not cooked well. The three other dishes we ordered were very good, but nothing to get overly excited about. My favorite dish of the evening was the Flan de Caramelo (caramel flan) which was delicious, and served with a birthday candle... even though it wasn't my birthday, because the hostess mistakenly told our server it was my birthday. Despite the mix up, it was a nice thought!
Despite not being overly fabulous food, I still enjoy coming here from time to time and one of these days I will try one of their paellas! read more
