Nacho Average Brewpub doesn't even sniff average. My entire experience was so far below average it was ridiculous. The overpriced food was garbage. The $4 chips and salsa, that normally are free at even the most mediocre Mexican restaurants,were a pathetic single layer of broken, generic chips on a tray with a small bowl of salsa you'd find at any grocery store. The 3 chicken tacos for $15 were devoid of flavor or quality ingredients. The chicken was rubbery and the flour tortillas were cold and hard. You would have to work to produce a less enjoyable and less inspired offering. With the trifecta of taco trash, I received some more tortilla crumbs but no salsa. What made this meal even more appalling was the service. We placed a couple of beer and coke orders that took the lone, unenthused waitress over 10 minutes to deliver to the table and no, she was not busy at all...just disinterested in performing a base level of waitressing duties. Halfway through my beer, anticipating more deplorable service, I ordered another round. I watched with mounting frustration as our "server" chatted with the owner, stood around, and 10+ minutes later, delivered them to our table. While trying to get her attention so we could pay this culinary ransom, we watched her put on a sweatshirt, clutch several cups of sodas to her chest and scamper out the back door. As we signaled desperately to get her attention, she saw us, said "Yes Ma'am" and proceeded to close the door and get in a car in the back parking lot...clearly making a fast getaway after we had been tricked into dining at this abysmal establishment. This restaurant charges outrageous prices for the most pathetic food you could imagine. I'm sure there will be many that ignore my warning but mark my words, you will be sorry. This restaurant is an insult to restaurants and the service and quality of food is an insult to diners and patrons. read more
