One of my top restaurants to get good grub in St. Augustine that's not hipster, touristy nor over-the-top. It's like the epitome of the St. Augustine we used to know growing up. The service at Ned's is consistently great! Michelle was our server and she was very personable, efficient and gave outstanding customer service. The entire staff was amazing and didn't miss a beat from the chefs to the gals at the counter. Come as you are... There's definitely something on the menu for everyone's palate. I tried the recommended Flounder Pesada lunch special and the fish was perfectly seasoned, cooked and sauced paired with a fresh garlic, butter and lemon pasta and bread. My meal also came with string beans and carrots that went nicely with the meal. I had plenty of food to enjoy so the portions are very generous. If you like fish, this was excellent! The calamari and fried green tomatoes are fantastic starters to share and if you have room, their peanut butter pie is worth getting or order one of each dessert to pass around. Their black coffee was good and strong which I certainly appreciate when paired with desserts. Overall, Ned's Southside Kitchen is a real local winner with delicious food options.
