A library with a firehouse The North Gorham Library is a tiny one room library that shares an area with a firehouse. An unusual combination but I have seen it before. I imagine it might get a bit noisy when the fire alarms go off. The library is small and basically just one room but is a pleasant and friendly place. Of course it doesn't have a whole heap of books but then it doesn't have too, other much larger libraries are close by and this is just to serve the local community. The inside in nicely decorated and even has a rocking chair. Some nice programs are offered to both kids and adults and as is usually the case with these very small town libraries the building serves as a place where the community gets together to socialize as well as just a place to find a book. A nice little library that serves the small town well. And if you are there at the right tie you might even get to see some fire trucks. read more
