A pleasant surprise on what should have been a "tourist" meal turned into one of the more pleasurable experiences of the trip.
We had the Caldo Gallego which was rich and flavorful. The Mejillones tasted like they had been in the bay just moments before. The Merluza was cooked perfect and tender and the Zorza, while a bit salty for our tastes, was done so that the meat was juicy and the sauce served perfectly to be soaked up with bread.
Service was slow at first but this is Spain and if you are in a hurry go to the U.S. Once it got going we were never left alone.
