Talk about nostalgia! My mini recently moved out, so time together is pretty special. We were running errands and she suggested we hit Old Navy to look for summer shorts.
As soon as we walked through the entrance I was taken back to the days when I would frequent this store for kids clothes - of course it hit harder with the July 4th flag decor. There was a decent end of season clearance and my daughter found no less than 3 pair of jeans for $10; my favorite being the pin striped pair. The accompanying boxy jacket paired perfectly and was a must have as well.
After ample time spent in the co-ed dressing room area rating outfits, I decided that my selections could wait until I got home. Imagine my joy realizing that the comfy harem pants ($10) and adorable dress (FIVE dollars - in this economy?!) fit perfectly!
We left the store with a haul and a smile, realizing that my frugal shopping habits have been adopted by my young adult making her own choices with her own money. Oh, and she found some cute shorts. It was a good day! read more
