Early on a Sunday I went outside an noticed something was wrong with power line in my yard. It sagged a bit lower than normal and there was a big piece of pole in my yard. Taken aback I surveyed the scene and determined that a vehicle came onto the sidewalk, stuck the pole, drove through my yard and got back into the street. The pole was obliterated. Basically broken off at the ground. I called OPPD outage line and after a brief hold told Erica what had happened. Within 20 or so minutes a truck was out and he realized that it was just a bulb change like he thought. Maybe an hour later 5 trucks show up and the have a new pole on a trailer. The guys were very professional and patient with me for all my questions. They told me the plan of action and got right to work. They couldn't get the leftover piece of pole out of the ground, but still were able to dig a deep hole and set the new pole. I was informed that they would have to cut power to safely work on it and I was without power for a bit over an hour. No big deal. A huge shout out to the guys!
