This was one of my favorite experiences of 2022 (and I must have been living under a rock because 2022 marked the 4th annual Oxtail mashup). Hosted at Third Wards Project Row Houses, this fantastic celebration of melanin was a 4 in 1 event- *a beautiful opportunity to view the local art and understand the initiatives at Project Row Houses. *a welcomed reclamation and reinvention of oxtails via a friendly competition featuring the industry's favorite decorated chefs * a delightful melanated cocktail competition with this cities mist celebrated bartenders. *an opportunity to learn and support the Feed the Soul Foundation (helping culinary businesses thrive in marginalized communities) From the incredibly inventive dishes, to the incredibly amount of samples, the people's choice judging, amazing DJs, expertly professional event organization, celebrity appearances, atmosphere, and incredible hospitality, this truly was an event not to be missed.
