Minimalist decore made from pallets gives this new Chorlton wine bar its play on words name. A nice casual feel to the bar makes their gastro leanings and extensive wine selection less intimidating than most wine bars I've been in. I don't feel judged for preferring beer and being a wine Luddite.
Their beer selection is far more limited being 3 Camden beers on draught and a small selection of bottles but will quench the thirst of most beer drinkers. Sadly this aspect pales in comparison to the other new wine bar over in Didsbury and I do wish they had opted for a wider selection of beer if only to make use of the large number of fantastic local breweries rather than opting for keg beer shipped up from London.
The menu consists of light snacks, charcuterie and cheese platters on the whole, with a limited but precisely chosen list of mains. Looks delicious as would be expected by the guys also known for Parlour on Beech Rd; items such as Air Dried Beef & Chilli Bresaola, Rocket, Artichokes & Parmesan.
Palate will be a pleasant and relaxed addition to the already extensive Chorlton night life. read more
