When I am on business in Hardin County, I have a few regular places that I hit for meals. I usually have lunch at It's All Good in Radcliffe because it is close to where I work. I stay in Iowa Falls and have dinner at Plaza Veracruz and 502 Grill House. I also try to work in a jaunt to Eldora and have dinner at Panda One. It is infinitely better than the hideous chain, Chuong Garden, in Iowa Falls. Recently I had Shredded Pork on one occasion. This is a beautiful dish, but is way, way too sweet for my taste. It has plenty of pork and is loaded with shredded bamboo, carrot and onion. I just would not order again due to the sweet sauce. It's really like having syrup on the dish. If you like sweet, this is for you. More recently I returned and had Hunan Chicken and really enjoyed it. It was more balanced and savory again with a large portion that I could never eat at one sitting. I would certainly order this one or the Chicken with Black Bean Sauce. I often get their Hot and Sour Soup and always order my dishes extra spicy, but they really never are. They do have chili oil if you ask....and I do. Panda One is a bit of a gem to find in Eldora. It's close to four stars, but you have to learn what to order. I'll hold back that fourth star for now, but as I said, it is close. read more
