Well 2020 is almost over but what an unforgettable and tragic year it's been for the world. If we sit quietly and think about things that happened, I hope there were at least some happy and triumphant moments that stand out. Maybe this virtual 40 foot sequoia tree lighting will be one of the happy moments we can look forward to this year to bring some semblance of community and festive holiday celebration to everyone. I would always just miss this event every year and drive by as the fast cleaning crew were almost done. 2019 was different as I was there in person for the first time for the countdown, hot chocolate, tree lighting and the entertainment.
