Did a day trip to Sintra and Monserrate was on of our stops. It was our last stop and pretty empty by the time we got there. While it's very pretty, there wasn't as much to do as our first tour (Quinta de Regaleria) but they do have extensive gardens. Prepare to walk... a lot! If I could do it over I would have picked Peña Palace to replace it. Still worth a go since the architecture and buildings were very lovely. read more
