We spent the day on Pearl Street and always love popping into Avanti. On a chilly winter day, a comforting bowl of ramen was what I needed to soothe the soul. After one visit, I'm recommending Peko Peko! This stall focuses on ramen, temaki, and donburi. Say less. Like I said, I was fixated on ramen and ramen only. My wife had temaki that she enjoyed. The broth varietals sounded interesting, but spicy miso was calling my name loud and clear. Karamiso (Spicy Miso) // chashu pork belly, seasonal vegetable, scallions, red pickled ginger, and sesame seeds. This was a 5-star bowl of ramen. The broth had depth and a slight warming heat. The noodles were cooked perfectly and had the texture I like in my ramen. But holy hell, the chashu pork belly was DYNAMITE. This was seriously one big bowl of deliciousness. Originally when I was writing this review I was planning to give 4 stars. But I'm upping it to 5 because I have no notes from my food. It was truly excellent.
