I took my wheels and tires to Performance Alignment to have the tires replaced on September 7, I didn't get the wheels and tires back until November 2, 2021! The owner of the place tried to replace my tires and ended up scratching the hell out of (2) of them and nicking another one! They sent the wheels out to be repaired and I was in contact with the Manager, Chris. The entire time Chris gave me the run-a-round and when I did get (2) of the wheels back on 10/25/2021, one of the wheels had a piece of plastic between the tire and the rim. The other wheel I noticed did not have any weights for balance? I took both wheels/tires to another shop (RNR), who I recommend completely! The guys at RNR were awesome and figured out what happened immediately, the wheel with the plastic was from a tire mounting machine and as I suspected the other wheel/tire was NOT balanced! These are huge safety issues and the reason I did NOT take them back to Performance Alignment! The tire on the wheel that had the plastic in it was stretched over the face of the wheel, which should of been installed from the backside (Back drop wheel) and now is NOT holding air! The last wheel and tire I got back on 11/2 still has the nick on the spoke to the wheel, which I am not taking back to Chris, because I may never see my wheel again? Chris lied about a lot of issues and never had a good answer or an apology about what happened with my wheels, he is good at trying to manipulate the situation for his own outcome and I urge "BUYER BEWARE"!
Pictures are of initial rim lip damage to (2) wheels and the one wheel after it was repaired and tire was remounted, and returned to me with piece of plastic in wheel? read more
