If I could give this "business" zero stars, I would. This was my first visit to Pet Evolution and my absolute last! Before scheduling an appointment, I asked for a groomer who worked well with senior dogs and who would be patient and gentle. My 9 pound 15 year old dog had just had dental surgery the week before, so I instructed Randy to not wash her face, brush her teeth or touch her mouth. I just wanted him to bathe her and tidy her up around her rear and legs. I came to pick her up about two hours later and she was not ready. I waited another 45 minutes or so and was asked to pay before Daphne was brought out. The attached pictures is how she looked when I picked her up. Roland, the manager said that Randy was not able to cut her hair because Daphne was resistant. He stated Randy attempted to muzzle my dog and she bit him but I never saw the bite marks in person. Daphne had just had all her front and bottom teeth extracted and could barely chew at this point. I called the owner and he met me at the store. He would not allow me to speak to Randy in person and said Randy was in the back and did not want to come out. I asked to see the bite marks and he showed me a picture of four puncture wounds but there was no face in the picture. Daphe could not have done this amount of damage. When I went to pick up Daphne, she yelped and walked away from me. Her tail was between her legs and she was visibly shaken and scared as you can see in the pictures. The owner gave me money to get another groom, but for the rest of the day until the next morning if I attempted to touch Daphne around her neck, she would yelp. I had to make her come from under the bed to use the bathroom and she only did that one time. I stressed to the groomer not to touch Daphne's mouth because of the dental surgery and he attempted to muzzle her and apparently rough handled her trying to get the muzzle on causing pain to her neck. I contacted the owner that evening via text but he did not respond. The next morning I took her to the ER where they said there was trauma to her neck. The morning before the grooming appt. Daphne went to her dental follow up and did not react at her when the vet, tech or myself picked her up. It was not until after her visit at Pet Evolution, that she responded negatively to touch. I called the owner back after the ER visit and left a message but to date, he has been unresponsive. My dog has been on pain meds since her visit on March 16th. She is getting better but went through a lot of pain over this man who rough handled her. Daphne has been getting groomed for over 12 years and she has never been turned away for misbehaving or resisting a bath or cut. I am livid at this groomer and establishment and feel that they should be responsible for vet costs. The owner, Harry, has blatantly disregarding me and this matter. Anyone who treats customers like this deserves to be out of business. I hope every customer thinking about giving Pet Evolution their business will think twice before doing so. read more
