We were walking around in Mercat La Boqueria, and were quite hungry but unfortunately the market was getting ready to close. A lady offered us to go to their sister location in Barri Gotic. She even offered to walk us to their other location, obviously to make sure we didn't wander off do another place. I still felt it was a nice gesture.
We were fortunate enough to get seated without a reservation and received great service. We were pretty hungry and ordered their, Pan con Tomate, Patata Bravas, fried calamari and a Seafood Paella.
Everything was so delicious and very filling. The Pan con Tomate was warm, and with tomato spread across the top of the bread with olive oil on top. A very simple dish, yet still very flavorful. The patata bravas was just as delicious with the two sauces served on the side so you can dip your potatoes in. The fried calamari tasted fresh, and perfectly fried.
The Paella was the dish of the night. It was a little salty, that is to be expected with seafood. The rice was cooked perfectly and had so much flavor. Overall a really good meal. read more
