THEY CUT A PIECE OF MY BABY'S EAR OFF when I got my dog groomed on September 12th 2022. I was next door at Target while she was being groomed during the express appointment and I got a phone call, and I was thinking that she was ready to be picked up. The groomer asked me if I dropped her off with a bloody ear!! I was completely confused. I said absolutely not, she was not bleeding and was perfectly fine when I dropped her off, that I would be right there. (She was completely healthy when I dropped her off and she is WHITE). When I arrived she had a chunk of her ear gone . Apparently the groomer was not present enough to trim her ears properly and had cut off a CHUNK of the ear closest to her head!! Her left ear was covered in blood and they tried to say that I had dropped her off like that! I let the doctor next door examine her, they gave me some antibiotics and I went home completely in shock along with my baby completely traumatized and in shock. My sweet baby thought I brought her somewhere so she could get hurt! Can YOU imagine?? Your dog thinks you bring her somewhere to actually get abused and get her ear cut off and then bring her home! I mean SERIOUSLY just think about it .. The next day I called the store manager LANCE to ask if he could provide me with pee pee pads, carpet cleaner, and some softer food because she's throwing up and she's pooping and peeing in my house. This is not her normal behavior but this is something from her traumatized injury. LANCE told me he could not help me. I am on a fixed income and do not have the money to spend on these things and LANCE said he could not help me. Here I am on friday, balling in the other room to not upset her, while my 22 year old son is rocking her to give me a moment. Every time I try to put ointment on her ear it starts bleeding profusely. I have to give her medicines so she doesn't get an infection. I can't afford to go get softer food for her. I can't afford to go get pee pee pads. I was accused of dropping off my baby that I have had before she had teeth, that I dropped her off with a chunk of her ear missing, maimed basically, dropped her off like that and expected them to groom her!!? Are you kidding me?? Do not bring your babies up there!!! I have been a loyal customer to PetSmart for a year and a half! I have brought both of my babies up there and paid for the express grooming every single time for both of my babies, and they couldn't even help me with some soft food, pee pee pads, and some carpet cleaner!? The store manager was more apathetic than empathetic!! This is how you get repaid by being a loyal customer to PetSmart! With all of the options out there and for a year and a half I've stuck with PetSmart and this is how they repaid me! By cutting off a chunk of my dog's ear and then not helping me through the healing process. read more
