My partner and I came here for lunch on Saturday. When we walked in, one of the tables were occupied, and our server came shortly to greet us. They were out of 80% of the beverages on their menu. Thai Tea and Vietnamese coffee were the only options besides canned pop/soda. My partner ordered the Thai Tea and it was good but tasted like sugar syrup mixed with orange food coloring. As for food, we ordered a chicken banh mi to share, and we cut that up ourselves. My partner ordered a rice dish, and I went with their pho. I've had better Vietnamese cuisine here in Chicago, but it is authentic and is probably the better option by Charlottesville standards. As we start to wrap up our meal, I overheard our server telling a table that she couldn't get the credit card machine to work, and that her boss is on his way about 10-15 minutes away. He did show up in that time, which I can appreciate. He was very courteous and friendly, and I'm honestly glad he was able to fix whatever the issue was because we're not from Charlottesville and I hadn't seen a Chase Bank the whole road-trip where I could get cash. I wasn't too mad about the beverage availability, since the pho broth was good. I'd recommend this location to anyone in the area looking for Vietnamese food. read more
