I wasn't prepared for the magical shopping experience that greeted me when I entered Pierce Millings today. I was in search of peat moss and soil amendments for my fall planting beds. I had to pinch myself! Am I in Lancaster County PA? No?! Then how do we account for all the whirligigs, bird houses, pet toys, local honey, country decor of every description. I was greeted by three very friendly kitties, one of whom was the topic of discussion among the staff and shoppers. But we came to load our SUV with peat moss as previously mentioned.
