I have visited Pine Point many times. I stayed at Silver Rapids one year, and was disappointed by their rude staff. John and Kathy at Pine Point are awesome people. They always hire excellent staff who are friendly and more than willing to make your experience great! The cabins are not the Holiday Inn, but they are well appointed, with a full kitchen of pots, pans, utensils, glasses, etc. Clean rooms. There is no better place to experience the wilderness feeling. At night, the loons will lull you to sleep. Boat is included in the price, and when you rent a motor, gas is also included. Close enough to Ely for quick trips, but outside of town for quiet reflection. Rustic in the right way. Bring your own towels, but otherwise...it's all great. read more
