This is a nice Pizza Express branch, located on Lapwing Ln in West Didsbury, there is street parking and a Metrolink station nearby, so the location is good. The location looks good, following a recent refurbishment, in the main restaurant area, there also is a basic upstairs area, ideal for functions and parties, but this area is quite basic. PRO TIP: If you're dining in, be sure to download and use the Pizza Express app, the rewards available are great and depending on your tier status you can get a bunch of free stuff including dough balls, a soft drink, large bottled water and a Romana pizza upgrade. I managed to save over £25 on my most recent trip. The prices are a tad expensive for a chain Italian without these offers, but with their loyalty scheme, it becomes extremely good value for money, especially as you can combine it with a Pizza Express gift card which is often available at 20% off at large retailers such as Amazon and Tesco. I ordered my usual order, a gluten-free Pollo Pancetta, with gluten-free dough balls, the staff were friendly and were happy to make this for me, as they had all the ingredients, even though it was discontinued from the menu last year. I was pleased with the quality of my pizza and the speed and friendliness of service too, especially considering I visited during a busy Saturday, it can get a little uncomfortable here when the restaurant is full and the seating area can easily feel cramped, while is attractive at non-peak times. There is a couple of tables available to sit outside on a rare nice day in Manchester.
